Saskatoon's Mount Royal Collegiate hosts grand powwow
Mount Royal Collegiate along with the First Nations, Inuit and Métis Education Unit, held a Festival of Nations on Thursday.
Drums echoed through the Westmount neighbourhood Thursday morning
Hundreds of students in Saskatoon spent the morning outside, bouncing and dancing to the sound of pounding drums at an annual powwow.
On Thursday Mount Royal Collegiate held the Festival of Nations, along with the First Nations, Inuit and Métis Education Unit.
The powwow featured a few different drum circles, dancers and singers leading elementary school children through the schoolyard.
