RCMP say a woman from Corman Park is charged with the first-degree murder in the death of a man from the area.

At about 7:00 a.m. CST on Friday, Warman RCMP say they got a call about an injured man at a home in the rural municipality of Corman Park, which encompasses areas on the outskirts of Saskatoon.

Once there officers say they found a 42-year-old man, who was declared dead by paramedics at the scene, police said in a Saturday news release.

RCMP major crimes took over the investigation and charged 35-year-old Lauren Besse with one count of first-degree murder. RCMP say she was also from Corman Park and was arrested there.

RCMP are not releasing the name of the man out of respect for the family's wishes.

Lauren Besse is scheduled to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Aug. 26.
