Prince County man dies in single-vehicle crash, RCMP say
An 83-year-old P.E.I. man has died as the result of a single-vehicle crash in the Wellington area, police say.
Summerside man was the subject of a search after being reported missing Friday
An 83-year-old Summerside man has died as the result of a single-vehicle crash in Prince County, police say.
Cpl. Gavin Moore, the media relations officer for the Prince Edward Island RCMP, said officers discovered the crash site along Route 177 in the Wellington area at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Moore said it appears the vehicle left the road and came to rest in a stream.
The driver and lone occupant was found dead at the scene.
The man had been the subject of a search in the Prince County area after he was reported missing on Friday.
RCMP are investigating the incident as a motor vehicle crash, and Moore said that investigation is ongoing.
