Chrisma Ann Joy Denny search takes investigators to U.S.
Eskasoni woman last seen in Tennessee on Sept. 19
Investigators with the Cape Breton Regional Police and Nova Scotia RCMP are in the U.S. this week in the ongoing search for a missing First Nations woman.
Chrisma Ann Joy Denny was last seen on Sept. 19 in Knoxville, Tenn., where the 23-year-old woman stayed at a homeless shelter for two days.
The police believe Denny entered the U.S. in late August and spoke to police in Alabama and Knox County. The investigators want to speak with local police to try to figure out where she went after that, Cape Breton Regional Police said Tuesday.
There have been several tips but no confirmed sightings of the Eskasoni woman after Sept. 19.
Denny's family has said they don't know why she would travel to the U.S.
Denny was most recently living in Sydney, but has also been known to travel outside Cape Breton, police said.
She is five feet six inches tall, 145 pounds and has brown hair and eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Cape Breton Regional Police at 902-563-5151, Eskasoni RCMP at 902-379-2822 or Crime Stoppers.
