NDP's Harris landslide in St. John's East
The New Democratic Party's Jack Harris has been re-elected with a strong majority in the riding of St. John's-East.

New Democratic Party Leader Jack Harris has been re-elected with a strong majority in the riding of St. John's-East.
Harris defeated Liberal candidate John Allan, Conservative candidate Jerry Byrne and Green Party candidate Robert Miller to take the seat.
In 2008 Harris won the riding with 74 per cent of voter approval.

Green Party candidate Howard Story and Progressive Conservative Party candidate Shannon Tobin each received about 1.5 per cent of votes cast in the area.
