Any people or groups interested will be heard on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. The hearing will take place at the commission offices on 425 Topsail Rd. in St. John's.
At that time the commissioner for the inquiry, Justice Leo Barry, will determine who has standing — as set out in the Public Inquiries Act.
The hearings allow the inquiry to schedule proceedings and allocate funds needed for the different groups or people involved.
Applications to be heard by the commissioner must be submitted on Friday Oct. 14, and can be sent by mail, fax or email. More information can be found on the commission's website.
