Dan Cleary signs 1-year contract with Detroit Red Wings
Newfoundland hockey player Dan Cleary has been re-signed with the Detroit Red Wings NHL team.

Newfoundland hockey player Dan Cleary has been re-signed with the Detroit Red Wings NHL team.
Cleary, who is originally from Carbonear, has spent 10 seasons with Detroit and just signed a one-year contract to continue playing with the team.
He skated in 17 games with the Red Wings during the 2014/15 season, notching two points and six penalty minutes.
The 36-year-old forward has totalled 265 points and 299 penalty minutes in 609 games with the club since 2005.
