Newfoundland and Labrador is alone in second place at the Tim Horton's Brier in Calgary.

On Tuesday, the Brad Gushue rink won both its games, beating New Brunswick 10-2 and Ontario 8-6.

It was an important rebound for Newfoundland and Labrador which had lost both its games on Monday.

Gushue's 5-2 record is second only to Northern Ontario, which remains unbeaten at 7-0.

Gushue plays P.E.I. and Alberta on Wednesday.

This is Gushue's 12th appearance at the Brier, a tournament which he has yet to win.
