As 2024 winds down, we're taking a look back at the year that was.
You'll see some of our favourite photos below, in no particular order. And if you're wondering what goes into picking our favourites, it could be something like composition or colour — but its often just the ones that spark a smile or resonate with us the most.

Say what you will about the winter, but sunsets like this one over Port Saunders make things feel a little warmer. Jim Stacy managed to get two extremely clear shot of the eclipse from the Bay d'Espoir highway and were able to merge them to show off the eclipse's prominence and corona at the same time. (Submitted by Jim Stacey) Newfoundland's typically overcast weather made for tricky eclipse watching, but Christian snapped this shot during a brief break in the clouds over Terra Nova. (Submitted by Christian Sorrell) April was quite the month of spectacular displays in the sky, so why not add the northern lights above Nain to the list of reasons to be looking up? (Submitted by Connie Boland) Springtime in the province means icebergs making an appearance. It's a phenomenon that's happening earlier each year, and this was the scene at Pike's Arm Lookout near Twillingate. (Submitted by Linda Lane) Lovely day for a walk on O'Brien's Farm in St. John's.
