RCMP charge 53-year-old with manslaughter in death of 34-year-old near Ebb and Flow First Nation

RCMP have laid a manslaughter charge after a man was shot on a highway east of Dauphin, Man., on Sunday, a police news release said Wednesday.

The 34-year-old man was found on the ground next to a truck on Highway 278 near Ebb and Flow First Nation, about 185 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg, police said on Monday.

He was taken to a hospital in Dauphin, about 75 kilometres west, where he later died.

A 53-year-old who was arrested in Ebb and Flow has since been charged with manslaughter. Cyril St. Paul has been remanded into custody, Mounties said.

Police believe this was a targeted incident.
