Man dies after being shot on highway beside Ebb and Flow First Nation

A 34-year-old man was found lying next to a truck after being shot Sunday morning near Ebb and Flow First Nation, Manitoba RCMP say.

Man, 53, arrested at a home in the community east of Dauphin, Man.

A 34-year-old man was found lying next to a truck after being shot Sunday morning near Ebb and Flow First Nation, Manitoba RCMP say.

Officers were called around 7:45 a.m. about a shooting on Highway 278, near the community about 185 kilometres northwest of Winnipeg.

The man was found on the ground and rushed to hospital in Dauphin, about 75 kilometres west, where he later died, RCMP said in a news release on Monday.

A 53-year-old man was later arrested at a residence in Ebb and Flow.

No other details were provided, including the names of the two men.
