Pedestrian fatally struck in a hit-and-run in London, Ont.

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle on Saturday night in London, Ont. The driver didn't stay at the scene, police said.

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle on Saturday night and police continue to search for the driver of the car.  

Police said emergency crews responded to the incident near Adelaide Street North and Nelson Street just after 9:30 p.m.

The pedestrian was sent to the hospital but did not survive their injuries. The driver involved did not stay at the scene, police said.  

Officers shut down the intersection for several hours, but the road has since reopened. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
