Hotel robbed with air pistol in Guelph, 2 face charges
Woman arrested had warrants out for arrest in London and Chatham-Kent, police say
A man and a woman from Windsor are facing several charges after a robbery at a hotel in Guelph's north end.
Police say a man entered the hotel on Silvercreek Parkway N. in the early morning hours of June 22. He then robbed the hotel using a gun, police said.
Then, on Monday, a Guelph police officer on patrol located a stolen U-Haul truck parked in a retail parking lot in the south end of the city.
Two people inside the truck were arrested and a black, semi-automatic CO2 pistol as well as several canisters of pepper spray were seized from the truck, police said.
A 32-year-old man was charged with robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, pointing a firearm, weapons dangerous and possession of stolen property over $5,000.
A 30-year-old woman has been charged with possession of stolen property over $5,000. The woman also had warrants for her arrest from police in London and Chatham-Kent, police said.
