Police issue warrant for Hamilton man in BB gun shooting

Hamilton police say a man is wanted in relation to an incident over the weekend, where someone was shot in the face with a BB gun.

Hamilton police have issued an arrest warrant for a man they believe shot another person in the face with a BB gun.  

Police say a 22-year-old Hamilton man is wanted in relation to the incident. 

On Nov. 9 around 2 a.m., police received a 911 call for reports of a shooting around Cannon Street E. and Huntley Street. Police say they located a 58-year-old man who had been shot in the face with a BB gun.

According to police, the man had been shot after arguing with another person. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. 

Police identified the wanted suspect after an investigation, which included the search of a home they believed belonged to the suspect. They say he is considered "armed and dangerous."

Police are warning the public not to approach him if seen, and to call 911 immediately. 

The suspect faces charges of assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death, possessing weapons that are dangerous to the public, and failing to comply with probation.
