Hamilton man shot in the face with BB gun after argument: police

Police are investigating after a Hamilton man was allegedly shot in the face with a BB gun following an argument.
Officers were called to a home near the corner of Cannon Street East and Wenworth Street North around 2 a.m. Saturday after reports of a shooting.
Investigators found a 58-year-old man with non-life threatening injuries from being shot in the face by a BB gun, according to a media release. Police say the shooting happened after an argument.
The injured man was treated at the scene, transported to hospital and later released.
Investigators, including the Emergency Response Unit, searched a home believed to be that of the suspect and say they will apply for a warrant to arrest a 22-year-old man.
Police say the suspect will face charges including assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering threats and failing to comply with recognizance.
