Three men are accused of kidnapping and first-degree murder in the death of a man whose body was found in northeast Edmonton last month, police said Friday.

The body of 32-year-old Sukhvir Singh was found around 17th Street and Yellowhead Trail — an industrial area in the city's northeast — on Feb. 28.

Singh's identity was confirmed after an autopsy conducted Wednesday, police said in a news release.

They said further investigation is needed to determine the cause and manner of death.

"However, due to the totality of the circumstances, investigators believe Singh was murdered," the news release said.

Manpreet Brar, 29, and Gursimran Singh, 21, were arrested and charged this week.

Canada-wide warrants have been issued for a third man, 27-year-old Lovepreet Sidhu.

Police said all three men knew the victim, but didn't provide further details.

Investigators are asking for help to find out where Sukhvir Singh was from Feb. 24 to Feb. 28.

He was last seen alive on the evening of Feb. 26 in a commercial strip near Gateway Boulevard, south of Whitemud Drive, police said.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone who may have information to contact them.
