Vancouver pedestrian injured after being hit by train

A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a train near Rupert Street and Grandview Highway Saturday night.

A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a train near Rupert Street and Grandview Highway Saturday night.

Police responded to the accident just before 6 p.m. PT but have not released the gender or identity of the victim, who has taken to hospital in serious condition.

The VPD and CN police are both looking into the cause of the accident, which happened during dark and rainy weather.
