Police identified victim as Jordan Gregory Frydenlund, who was pronounced dead at scene of serious assault
Calgary police have identified the victim of a fatal assault Friday night in Kingsland as a 30-year-old Calgary man.
On Oct. 27, police were called to the 700 block of 67th Avenue S.W. shortly before 8:30 p.m. for reports of a serious assault in the area.
At the scene, an adult male with severe injuries was pronounced dead by EMS. Police have identified the victim as Jordan Gregory Frydenlund.
Calgary police acting Insp. Paul Wozney said the deadly confrontation happened outside of an apartment building where Frydenlund lived and the attack is not considered random.
"We've done numerous neighbourhood inquiries in the area, spoken to a lot of people," Wozney said. "Those conversations and interviews have led us to a very small list of suspects in the matter and we're pursuing those suspects now"
The suspects are all believed to live in the area, Wozney said.
Police are withholding Frydenlund's cause of death until charges are laid.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Calgary police or Crime Stoppers.
