The Calgary police homicide unit is investigating after a man in his 20s was found dead in a southeast apartment building on Saturday morning.
Police said they were called to the 3400-block of 31A Avenue S.E. around 3:30 a.m.
Inside, they found the body of a young man.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, at which time, police say the man's identity will be released.
The discovery came just hours after a man was killed following a serious assault in Calgary's southwest, and a shooting in the southeast that sent one person to hospital in serious, but stable condition.
Police said they don't believe the incidents are related.
"They're all independent of each other," said Staff Sgt. Tom Hanson.
