We'll have to blame this mental lapse on the scorching New York heat.

Canada's Eugenie Bouchard saw a shot going long…but not if you consider that she was playing with doubles boundary lines.

Despite the flub, Bouchard and Russian teammate Elena Vesnina picked up the win.

Bouchard returns to singles action (and the more familiar boundary lines) on Friday — the 21-year-old Canadian will face Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova in the third round.
