Mo Zhang of Richmond, B.C., has been eliminated from the Tokyo Olympics after losing to China's Chen Meng in the round of 16 in table tennis action on Tuesday in Tokyo.
Zhang, who's playing in her fourth Olympics, couldn't find her groove and Chen, who's ranked world number one and finally making her Olympic debut at 27, took advantage and won the first three games. After Zhang won the fourth game 11-9, Chen cruised to a 11-5 victory to advance to the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
The 32-year-old Canadian beat Germany's Petrissa Solja on Monday to advance to the round of 16, which is the furthest she has been at the Olympics.
