Canada's women's soccer team has plenty to work on pre-Rio
Fans disappointed with Herdman's coaching
A tough loss to the powerhouse Americans on Sunday night highlighted all of the Canadian national team's weaknesses and fans were quick to take notice.
The women in red swept past their opening game against Guyana 5-0, confidently putting six goals behind Trinidad and Tobago and ran a 10-goal clinic on Guatemala. They gave up their first goal of the tournament to Costa Rica in the semifinals but still managed a comfortable 3-1 win.
Team Canada started out on a great note and fans were quick to tweet about it.
<a href="https://twitter.com/CBCOlympics">@CBCOlympics</a> we're showing <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/USWNT?src=hash">#USWNT</a> that we're here to fight and won't be steam rolled. Good game so far.

<a href="https://twitter.com/CBCOlympics">@CBCOlympics</a> the young players have done well for Canada!!

But as the game progressed, so did the goals in the back of Canada's net. So we asked Twitter fans what they thought. No surprise here: Christine Sinclair is always the answer.

Being two goals down, fans started to lose hope as the game continued.
<a href="https://twitter.com/CBCOlympics">@CBCOlympics</a> not a chance against the usa. Not nearly enough possession

So we asked them a key question in Canada's style of play and got their answer:
<a href="https://twitter.com/CBCOlympics">@CBCOlympics</a> we need some Alex Morgan's, people that drive to the net. Love team Canada but no denying USA has better forwards 🙏🏼🇨🇦🇨🇦

But leave it up to soccer expert Nigel Reed to give a perfect post game analysis in one tweet.
Comfortable for <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/USWNT?src=hash">#USWNT</a>. <a href="https://twitter.com/keishaballa">@keishaballa</a> excellent but <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/CanWNT?src=hash">#CanWNT</a> still a long way off in terms of ability & composure. <a href="https://t.co/u58sRcsmPv">https://t.co/u58sRcsmPv</a>
