Canadian women's soccer fans overjoyed with Olympic qualification

The Canadian women's soccer team qualified for the 2016 Olympics today after being Costa Rica 3-1 in the semifinal game of the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifiers 2016.

The Canadian national women's soccer team has excited fans nation wide by earning a spot in the 2016 Olympic Games after defeating Costa Rica 3-1 in the semifinals of the CONCACAF Olympic qualification tournament on Friday in Houston. 


Some other Canadian teams joined in on the action to offer congratulations.



CBC's Scott Russell reminded us of the magic that was London.


And nothing but positive vibes from old teammates. 




However, defender Allysha Chapman reminded everyone that there is still one more game. Canada will face the U.S. in the championship final on Sunday. The U.S. defeated Trinidad and Tobago 5-0 in the other semifinal later Friday and also secured an Olympic berth.
