NHL Draft: Canadian players top 2015 selections
79 Canadians picked
The 2015 NHL Draft ended Saturday with a total of 211 players picked over seven rounds and Canadian players topped the list of selections once again.
Canada was well represented in the draft with a total of 79 players picked. The U.S. came in second with 55 players and Sweden rounded out the top-three with 19 players.
With the first overall pick, the Edmonton Oilers selected Connor McDavid and two other Canadians were chosen in the top-five.
Centre Dylan Strome went third overall to the Arizona Coyotes and Mitchell Marner went fourth overall to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Edmonton was one of the busiest Canadian teams on the second day of the draft, announcing three deals throughout the day.
