Tom Brady a no-show for Donald Trump endorsement speech
NFL superstar will skip the Republican National Convention
New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady will not be speaking on behalf of The Donald at this month's Republican National Convention.
That's because the four-time Super Bowl champion isn't even planning on attending the event, according to ESPN's Adam Shefter.
Despite speculation to contrary, Pats QB Tom Brady will not be attending Republican National Convention in Cleveland this month, per source.

The news may come as a surprise to some supporters of The Donald, as Trump recently expressed his interest in having both Brady as well as Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback Ben Roethlisberger (among other notable sports figures) speak on his behalf during this month's convention, which begins July 18 in Cleveland.
When sport and politics mix
For those of you who aren't up to speed on the latest intersection between sport and politics, Trump and Brady are good friends, for all the reasons that famous, rich people often are.
However, don't think Trump doesn't know the value of a relationship with Brady when it comes to attracting votes.
In fact, over the course of The Donald's rise to the forefront of the Republican Party during the past year, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee has mentioned the name of his NFL quarterback pal several times.
The friendship rose to prominence last August when Trump denounced what he called the "terrible" treatment of Brady during the heart of the Deflategate scandal. And earlier this year, Trump even opened a Rhode Island campaign stop by chiming in once again to defend his friend in the wake of Brady's four-game suspension being reinstated.
But that's not all.
Trump has also openly credited the New England Patriots' pivot with some of his political success in Massachusetts; this happening just weeks before being booed for mistakenly name dropping his allegiance to the former two-time NFL MVP during a campaign stop in Maryland in April.
But The Donald's relationship with the four-time Super Bowl champion is by no mean's completely one-sided.
For starters, Brady admittedly supports the man whom he has regarded as a "good friend" in Trump (well, at least to the degree that he supports all of his friends). And even further, the NFL superstar has even had a 'Make America Great Again' hat spotted on a shelf in his locker last season.
There is no reason given for Brady skipping his pal's coronation, and Patriots' training camp doesn't start until July 27.
Who knows? Maybe Brady's wife, Giselle, an immigrant from South America, isn't a fan.
