Blue Jays defeat Rangers in Game 4, fans say #OpenTheDome for Game 5
David Price (good and bad) talk of the Twitterverse; R.A. Dickey plays nice
The Toronto Blue Jays tied up their series against the Texas Rangers with an 8-4 win in Game 4 on Monday.
David Price was the talk of the game in the Twitterverse — first for his catch of Kevin Pillar's home run in the bullpen.
Cool as can be RT <a href="https://twitter.com/SNFaizalKhamisa">@SNFaizalKhamisa</a>: I love David Price so much <a href="http://t.co/EzUD4lb7rw">http://t.co/EzUD4lb7rw</a>

And after, for manager John Gibbons' decision to pull starting pitcher R.A. Dickey and replace him with Price just one out before the former would have qualified for his very first post-season win.
<a href="https://twitter.com/BlueJays">@BlueJays</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/DAVIDprice14">@DAVIDprice14</a> Uh and Gibbons couldn't give RA one more out so he could get the win? <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Pathetic?src=hash">#Pathetic</a>

This decision had fans confused and some angered.
Why is Price pitching?
—@mirtle
I like Price. I do NOT like this move. It's 7-1 in the 5th. Let RA get through another inning or two...
—@mikeharriscurls
John Gibbons grins, scratches his head, and calmly slides the knife into R.A. Dickey, because this is playoff baseball
—@bruce_arthur
While others just accepted it.
Taking <a href="https://twitter.com/RADickey43">@RADickey43</a> out right now doesn't really make sense to me... But I'm no coach. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/BlueJays?src=hash">#BlueJays</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/ALDS?src=hash">#ALDS</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/ComeTogether?src=hash">#ComeTogether</a>
—@InSeansOpinion
Bottom line. I love the Jays don't care about RA's hurt feelings or Price's. They are playing for the win unlike the end of the reg season.
—@dutchysc
Post-game: Gibbons was candid about the move.
Correcting an earlier error, here's John Gibbons again on his decision to lift Dickey for Price in the 5th <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/BlueJays?src=hash">#BlueJays</a> <a href="http://t.co/mv5nC6xTPa">pic.twitter.com/mv5nC6xTPa</a>

And Dickey?
The consummate team player.
A true team player. R. A. Dickey on Game 4. <a href="https://twitter.com/RADickey43">@RADickey43</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/BlueJays">@BlueJays</a> <a href="http://t.co/K4vqvkJ5jY">http://t.co/K4vqvkJ5jY</a> <a href="http://t.co/6Uywf0ZyY0">pic.twitter.com/6Uywf0ZyY0</a>

While the Jays look ahead to Game 5, the fans can #cometogether for the next controversy; getting the roof of the Rogers Centre open for Wednesday's 4:07 p.m. ET game. #OpenTheDome.
Based on <a href="https://twitter.com/BlueJays">@BlueJays</a> last 2 games & their 38 W's & 14 L's at the Dome in '15, I say for sure in game 5 they must <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/OpenTheDome?src=hash">#OpenTheDome</a>. RT if you agree
—@iamToddyTickles
Clearly, there is some support, and some pretty vocal champions of making it happen.
3) knowing anything about baseball. When I was on Coach’s Corner Saturday night I said we got stiffed. Having the dome closed when we play
—@CoachsCornerCBC
4) better with it open and the noon weekday start. We just don’t play on a level playing field in Canada. I ask you, if the Yankees wanted
—@CoachsCornerCBC
5) the dome open on a nice sunny day, you think it wouldn’t be open? You think the Yankees would play week days as 12pm? I don’t think so.
—@CoachsCornerCBC
The whole friggin' country wants it, <a href="https://twitter.com/MLB">@MLB</a>. Open the damn dome!! <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/OpenTheDome?src=hash">#OpenTheDome</a> <a href="https://t.co/0XwOXAoSUk">https://t.co/0XwOXAoSUk</a>

To be sure, #OpenTheDome is definitely something we'll be following leading up to the win-or-go-home game on Wednesday.
