We're only a week into 2020, and already, one social media app is dominating headlines: TikTok. When stars from the video-sharing app showed up at the Eaton Centre in Toronto, a riot nearly broke out — but it's hardly a wonder the app has its own celebrity ecosystem, since it's been downloaded over 1.5 billion times. Now some of the top TikTok content creators have joined forces in Los Angeles to create something they call Hype House, and it, too, has gone viral. So what's it all about? Buzzfeed social media editor and q online columnist Elamin Abdelmahmoud joins Laurie Brown to get us up to speed.
