Comedian Nate Bargatze: not clean for the sake of being clean

Most comedians aren't called out for their dirty humour, but Nate Bargatze is used to hearing his comedy labelled "clean."

"Same way I don't want to be labelled clean, they don't want to be labelled dirty," Bargatze argues, referring to comedians who can normally dodge the latter descriptor. "You don't want to be labelled anything, really, as a comedian."

Instead, Bargatze is more focused on developing his voice because, as he points out, "if you can learn your voice, then you can really talk about anything."

Nate Bargatze will be performing at JFL NorthWest on Feb. 18 at Vancouver's Biltmore Cabaret. For more information, check out JFL NorthWest's website.
