'To this day, it's still a thoroughly confusing project': Prozzäk on their return to music
The same year animated band Gorillaz made their debut, Canada received its very own cartoon band: Prozzäk. The fictional duo of Simon and Milo was an outlet for Philosopher Kings members Jay Levine and James Bryan to express their more sarcastic and humorous side. "It's one of the best things I've done, musically," Bryan admits.
Since their breakout in the early 2000s, Prozzäk have sporadically released music but in 2015, they decided to pick it up full-time again. This year, they will release a new album entitled Forever 1999.
Today, Levine and Bryan sit down with Tom Power to reflect on their 20 years as Prozzäk, their memorable lovelorn hits and the enduring appeal of these beloved characters they've created. As Levine is quick to note: "To this day, it's still a thoroughly confusing project."
