The Blue Man Group has been a cultural staple since its inception in 1991, whether you remember it for its colourful performances or that famous reference in the TV series, Arrested Development

Twenty-six years later, the group is still a worldwide phenomenon and, on today's show, Tom Power talks to one of the group's co-founders, Phil Stanton, about the group's success.

For Stanton, Blue Man Group presents a contrast of "an ancient tribal nature that we all have with our modern world." The drumming, he says, represents the ancient part of the equation, while other parts of its show are always evolving with the times.

He adds: "The show has to change to stay the same."

Blue Man Group is currently on its 25th anniversary world tour. It also has permanent productions in eight cities. For all the upcoming shows, head over to its website
