Iraqi-Canadian rapper, actor, professor and activist NARCY joins us live on q to discuss to Sunday night's mosque shooting in Quebec City.
As Canadians continue to mourn the deaths of six men who were killed in a Quebec City mosque on Sunday evening, artist NARCY hopes that this opens our eyes to the everyday realities of hate that exist worldwide.
"We've been very comfortable and sheltered for a long time," the Iraqi-Canadian rapper, actor and activist — born Yassin Alsalman — says. "This is everyday news."
Alsalman joined host Tom Power to discuss the shooting, what it means for Canadians and he shares his feelings about U.S. President Donald Trump's recent travel ban. "I've had to change my travel plans till things settle," he admits.
