q's resident video games correspondent Sam Maggs fills us in on the biggest video game news of the which. Today, we discuss:

  • Nintendo announces the Nintendo Switch, a new console that "people have been waiting for from Nintendo," as Maggs explains. The new system is an iPad-sized unit that gamers can play on their televisions, like most conventional consoles, but the Switch can also be detached and be played portably. "Just play on your lunch hour!" Maggs encourages.
  • Rockstar Games has released a trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2, another in the video game series started with highly successful Red Dead which came out in 2004. "It's so good at the immersion of being in the old west," Maggs says, of why the Red Dead games have done so well over the years. "It's a great starter place for people who are maybe a little bit intimidated by video games."
