Ex-cabinet minister Peter MacKay takes our Duffy trial quiz
Former Conservative cabinet minister Peter MacKay took a turn on our panel and was met with questions about the week's biggest news story: the Mike Duffy trial.
MacKay was first out of the gate with the answer to the opening question, but our comedians piled on to steal the point, prompting host Gavin Crawford to exclaim, "I wish I could give you all points for that, but I'm not corrupt."

All three panellists expressed their frustration with the Senate scandals and the erosion of the public trust. "Shouldn't senators just be so grateful for their gig and not try to screw it up?" said comedian Ashley Botting.
MacKay said the whole idea of the senate has become offensive to people. "The rules should be clear. It's an institution that's been around as long as the country. You would think that they should have it right by now."
Botting turned to MacKay to ask: "What's the utility of a group that people always talk about 'should we abolish this' when a scandal comes up?"
"It requires a constitutional amendment and when you open up the constitution you are really opening up a Pandora's box," said MacKay.
"It's tricky because then you have to honour treaty rights and stuff," quipped comedian Anand Rajaram.
In honour of all the senate scandals, our panel played the Because News hashtag game. This week the Twitter hashtag is #ScandalizeAMovie. All you have to do is take a movie and scandalize it, for instance, Saving Private Ryan's Emails. Or, My Big Fat Greek Bailout.
If you can scandalize a movie, send us a tweet. We're @CBCBecauseNews and use the hashtag #ScandalizeAMovie. Top ten tweets will be posted here next week.
