B.C's record deficit could grow under tariff threat, says economist
B.C. MLAs are returning to the legislature for the first time since U.S. President Donald Trump made good on his threat to impose some tariffs. As the provincial government grapples with a $9.4 billion deficit, Marc Lee, a senior economist at the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, tells BC Today host Michelle Eliot the government still has capacity to spend amid the threat of more tariffs.
