As part of an event that’s run since 2009, the Union Gospel Mission in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside tasked volunteers with doing makeup for and taking photos of people who can’t otherwise afford the service. As Shaurya Kshatri reports, it’s part of a global movement called Help-Portrait.
