American Thanksgiving is an unofficial holiday for Windsor sports fans
It's an American Thanksgiving tradition: the Detroit Lions get to host a football game on their home turf. And every year, the excitement spills over to Windsor. Bars were filled Thursday to watch the Lions take on the Chicago Bears. People drank beer, ate wings and called in sick from work. They joined for backyard parties when it wasn't even noon yet. Meanwhile, the sound of cheering Detroiters wafted across the river from the parade.
