‘We have a new start,’ doctor says after Canadian Medical Association apology to Indigenous Peoples
The Canadian Medical Association says it is ‘deeply ashamed’ and ‘deeply sorry’ for the past and present harms the medical profession has caused to First Nation, Inuit and Métis Peoples. Family physician Dr. Esther Tailfeathers says the apology will alleviate a lot of the tension that Indigenous physicians and front-line workers have.
