Pope's apology leaves unanswered questions about sex abuse: residential school survivor
Evelyn Korkmaz, a residential school survivor from Fort Albany First Nation on the west coast of James Bay, tells CBC News that Pope Francis's apology didn't mention the sexual abuse of Indigenous students by priests at residential schools. She wants the Roman Catholic Church to release documents to Indigenous communities in order to settle the many court fights still in progress, and has concerns that many priests who are still alive have not been brought to justice.
