Trailblazing coach becomes 1st woman to be on the bench of an NHL team
Saskatchewan's Jessica Campbell is the first woman to work on the bench of an NHL franchise now that the Seattle Kraken has hired her as an assistant coach. The 32-year-old from Rocanville was the first full-time female assistant coach in the AHL. Campbell was a decorated player in the NCAA, the Canadian Women's Hockey League and Canada's women's national team. With that team she won silver at the 2015 world championship.
