This woman has big plans for green crab. Until then, she feeds the shells to her chickens
Tonia Grandy, who lives on Newfoundland’s Burin Peninsula, says there are many uses for the invasive species, but her plans for green crab are caught up in red tape with the Newfoundland and Labrador government and DFO. CBC Radio’s The Broadcast caught up with her on the wharf in Garnish — and then her home — to see what she does with the little crustaceans for now.
