How Frozen Thunder preserves a giant snow pile during summer to get skiers out earlier

The program, hosted by the Canmore Nordic Centre, compresses up to 2.6 kilometres of snow and maintains it through the hottest time of year so that it can service next season's trails earlier in the fall.
