Princess Charlotte and her brother Prince George have appeared in their first official photos together, which were released Saturday by Kensington Palace via Twitter.

The four photos show the young royals sitting together, with George holding his newborn sister. In one photo he appears to be kissing her forehead.

Born May 2 to Prince William and Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge, Charlotte is the fifth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth II and the fourth in line to the throne, after her grandfather Charles, her father William and her older brother George, who is almost two.

William and Kate introduced the baby princess just 12 hours after Kate checked into London's St. Mary's Hospital to give birth on May 2. The baby weighed in at eight pounds, three ounces.

The baby's full name has been registered as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana of Cambridge.

Princess Charlotte is to be christened on July 5 by the Archbishop of Canterbury on the Queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
