Panama celebrates canal's 100th birthday

Opened in 1914, the Panama Canal, which is undergoing a massive expansion meant to double its capacity, turns 100 on Aug. 15, 2014. The expansion to the historic shipping route and engineering marvel is scheduled for completion in 2015.
