Protests sparked by the death of George Floyd have inspired art around the world — from murals in Athens and Karachi to street art in Montreal.

Video of Floyd's fatal arrest in Minneapolis on May 25, 2020, prompted widespread protests across the United States, Canada and other countries. A Minnesota medical examiner has since ruled his death a homicide, and former police officer Derek Chauvin has been charged with second- and third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter. The other three ex-officers involved will be tried together in the summer on aiding and abetting charges.

As Chauvin's trial begins on Monday in Minneapolis, here's a look at the murals, posters and other artwork created to pay tribute to Floyd.
