California drought: Dry times in the Golden State

California is in the fourth year of a severe drought. More than 93 per cent of the state is affected, and the governor recently passed legislation demanding 25 per cent reductions in urban water usage as well as $1 billion in funding to ensure residents have access to fresh water.
