3.3 million people in Pakistan affected by floods, more than 1,200 dead

Monsoon rains have submerged one-third of Pakistan, claiming more than 1,200 lives since June and unleashing powerful floods that have affected 3.3 million people, washed away swaths of vital crops and damaged or destroyed more than a million homes.
