Video emerges of scene where Omar Mateen appears as security guard

Omar Mateen appears in hidden video footage in the documentary The Big Fix, complaining while working as a security guard after the BP oil spill in 2010, several years before shooting dozens of people in a gay nightclub in Orlando, Fla.

The footage was republished Wednesday in a video news story by the Wall Street Journal, and his then employer, G4S Secure Solutions, confirmed the man is Mateen.

The 2012 documentary examines the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico following the sinking of the Deepwater Horizon rig.

In the footage, Mateen can be heard saying there's no one to talk to on site and rants about what's happening.

"They're just hoping for more oil to come out and more people to complain. They just want more disaster to happen because that's where the money making is."

Mateen was killed by police early morning Sunday after opening fire in Pulse, leaving 49 people dead and injuring 53 others.
