CBC News has confirmed reports that there will be a minor federal cabinet shuffle Wednesday.

According to sources who spoke confidentially with CBC News, the shuffle is due to one cabinet minister choosing to leave their current role for personal reasons.

The Canadian Press, citing multiple sources, is reporting that Public Services and Procurement Minister Filomena Tassi has asked to change jobs due to a family health matter.

According to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's itinerary for Wednesday, he will participate in a swearing-in ceremony at Rideau Hall at 10 a.m., followed 20 minutes later by a news conference.
