Tom Mulcair visits Brampton-area daycare as Liberal caucus wraps in London

New Democrat Leader Tom Mulcair wraps up his Toronto-area mini-tour with a mid-morning visit to the Collegeside Early Learning Centre in Brampton, where, according to the advisory, he will reiterate his message on "the importance of giving middle class families a break in the next federal budget."

Later today, he's slated to return to Montreal, where he'll join Ahuntsic-Cartierville New Democrats as they nominate former Bloc Quebecois-turned-Independent MP Maria Mourani as the party's official standard-bearer in the next federal election.

Meanwhile, the Liberals spend another morning sequestered in closed-door caucus meetings in London, where Justin Trudeau is expected to submit to a second — and final — round of questions from reporters after the two-day gathering wraps up at noon.

Also in southern Ontario today: Employment Minister Jason Kenney, who will mark the inaugural Lincoln Alexander Day by taking part in an assembly at the Hamilton elementary school that bears his name.

 Elsewhere on the ministerial circuit:

• Minister of State for ACOA Rob Moore drops by Fredericton-based Planet Hatch to dole out a fresh round of federal support to two local software companies: iTacit and Scene Sharp Technologies.  
• Public Safety Minister Steve Blaney unloads still more funding during a visit to Montreal-based Alta Precision, while Infrastructure Minister Denis Lebel scatters largess in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean and La Tuque.
• Western Economic Development Minister Michelle Rempel highlights last year's federal budget and her agency's "strategic agenda" in a lunch speech to the Regina and District Chamber of Commerce.

Back in the capital, Bank of Government Canada Stephen S. Poloz takes the stage at the National Press Theatre, where he'll field queries on the interest rate, as well as the latest edition of the Monetary Policy Report, both of which are scheduled to be released on Wednesday morning.

Finally, Forces et Democratie MPs Jean-Francois Fortin and Jean-Francois Larose drop by the Centre Block media room to share their priorities for the upcoming Commons sitting.
