Today on our Wednesdays with @Kady live chat:
- One of the NDP MPs who alleges sexual harassment by a former Liberal MP has now granted several media interviews to talk about what happened. But her statements about what kind of a process she'll participate in remain unclear. Equally unclear is what kind of process is being offered to her, or considered by the procedure and house affairs committee, the House of Commons Speaker's office and/or Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau. We'll watch Trudeau's post-caucus press conference together live at 12:30 p.m. ET and talk about where things stand.
- The Canada Revenue Agency accidentally sent confidential tax information to the CBC this week. The CBC didn't report the specifics of the files, but the breach was condemned by everyone from the minister responsible for the agency in Question Period to privacy commissioners and other advocates for personal data security. How much trust do you have in government agencies to keep your essential information safe?
- Plus: the Senate gets a new Speaker, and what to make of the latest momentum shift in the polls...
